SMABTP established itself in Spain in 1989 by acquiring the insurance company ASEFA, founded in 1972. The Spanish subsidiary offers construction insurance, civil liability insurance, and contract bond insurance products. DUPI was founded in 1988 with its roots in Marine and Transport, initially supporting clients and insurers as broker and correspondent in the international P&I market.
